Abstract

The research is conducted in order to study status and potentiality, organization learning development mechanisms as well as forms of organization learning development of automotive industry in Thailand , in accordance with the purpose to develop proper forms of organization learning development that can effectively strengthen the operation of automotive industry in Thailand. The research is a qualitative research conducted by analyzing secondary data and in-depth interview. The target group include executives of 6 international automotive companies which have their manufacturing base in Thailand : 1 Toyota Motor (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. 2. Tripet Isuzu Sales Co.,Ltd. 3. Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. 4. Mitsubishi Motor (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. 5. Auto Alliance (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. and BMW (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. The key informants are senior executives of the target companies.
The research result is indicated as follow. Status and potentiality of automotive industry in Thailand as well as automotive manufacturing industry is still highly potential.
The researcher summarizes 4 mechanisms of learning development of automotive industry in Thailand as follow. 1) Searching and creating knowledge. 2) Information storing and analysis. 3) Knowledge distribution. 4) Applying knowledge.
The researcher proposes 5 forms of organization learning development of automotive industry in Thailand stated as follow. Form 1 Learning systems. Form 2 Collective-Integrated-Actionable Learning (CIA). Form 3 Experiential Learning. Form 4 Creative or Experimentation System. Form 5 Learning from others.
The researcher summarizes the form of effective organization learning development that can strengthen potentiality of automotive industry in Thailand as Intelligent Organization. Intelligence refers to possessing beyond average knowledge and capacity. Automotive companies must acquire proper knowledge, cognition as well as capacity for being intelligent. Intelligent organization is composed of Integration Learning, Nobility Learning, Team Learning, Experiential Learning, Learning from Other, Learning System, Individual Learning, Generative Learning, Employee Involvement, Normalization Learning, Continuous Improvement, Experimental Learning, Open Learning Opportunity, Relatively; benchmarking Gathering and Collecting, Action Learning : Actionable, Notation Learning, Learn How to Learn, Zealous Learning, Attitude, Trust, Instructive Learning, Openness to Learning, Network Learning.
(8) Automotive manufacturing organizations must enable learning as well as knowledge management for being an intelligent organization. The key factor is Corporate Creativity which results in Innovation in forms of New Products/Services in accordance with Value to Customer.
